....ultimul efort solo, pe care-s tentat să-l citesc...freudian pentru că nu întâmplător se potrivește (deși incorect ca traducere), „Prințul întunericului”, al "mastermind"-ului de la The Legendary Pink Dots, anglo-olandezii cu fix 4 decade de existență pe care îi consider, alături de și mai vechii californieni The Residents, dintre cele mai importante lacune din interesul și cultura muzicală a melomanului și colecționarului român care se pretinde informat și exigent, cu vectorii lui formatori cu tot, care măcar pentru cuvântul din denumire atât de cunoscut și adulat „pink” în scena rock, ar fi trebuit să fie mai curioși...Compus ca multe altele în izolarea pandemică acest al 10-lea album solo poartă ecouri nu numai de la grupul-mamă LPD ci și din proiectele Tear Garden și A Star Too Far...

...nu mai țin minte dacă am amintit pe acest blog de debutul chitaristei & vocalistei ON din 2015, dacă nu o fac acum pentru că merită amintit odată cu acest nou efort al soției claviaturistului Adam Holtzman (Miles Davis, Steven Wilson), prezent din nou la datoria de partener și co-producător alături de chitaristul Alex Skolnick din Testament. Dar stați să vedeți cine-s invitații din secția ritmică...de fapt 2 secții diferite, unul mai cunoscut ca altul: Chad Wackerman -fostul baterist de la Frank Zappa / Allan Holdsworth și Stu Hamm -basistul de fusion & prog- în prima, respectiv basistul de jazz Mark Egan și bateristul Gene Lake....plus chitaristul Vernon Reid (Living Colour, Masque, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Jack Bruce, James „Blood” Ulmer, etc). Sunt, cred eu pentru acest album, suficiente argumente pro. Multe „pro” și cu mult „prog”!

„Musician, composer and producer. Owner of “The Forest studio” south of Linköping, the centre of Bauta Records production. In this studio he combines many instruments and sounds of different kinds. Inspiration comes all the way from medieval songs, through the romantic classical era, to the art rock and improvised creative chaos of the 1970’s and 80’s.
